To a heated pot(medium heat) add 2 tbsp of avocado oil. Followed by ½ a chopped onion. Let that cook until the onion becomes translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the minced garlic, 2 tsp of oregano, 2 tsp of italian seasoning, red pepper flakes to taste and 1 tbsp of red wine vinegar and give it a quick stir to combine.
Now pour in your can of crushed tomatoes. Add ¼ cup of water and stir.
Bring pot to a gentle boil and then reduce heat to a simmer for 10-15 minutes.
All done!
Sauce can be used immediately on your homemade pizza dough or a store bought crust.
